What available amenities are nearby?

Amenities immediately nearby include a local convenient store, a Gym, and bars and restaurants on the beach. Heading towards Maenam center just a few minutes away you'll find a fresh food market, shops, pharmacies, gas filling stations, ATM's, banks, currency exchange booths, a small Mini C supermarket, a variety of bars and restaurants and a post office.

What activities are available nearby?

Aside from the beach, one of the most popular nearby activities enjoyed by everyone is the Walking Street night market in Fisherman's Village. Do you offer airport transfers?

Yes, we provide convenient airport transfer services upon request for our guests.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Breakfast isn't included in the room rate, however our self catering luxury villas are fitted with fully equipped kitchens, there's a fresh food market nearby and there's several restaurants on the beach. Nearby Maenam also offers various restaurant's and cafes catering to all tastes.

Is there a spa at the resort?

Unfortunately Baan Tropicana does'nt have a Spa, but contact the staff at front desk who will provide you with information on the best Spa options on the Island.

Is Baan Tropicana a family Resort?

Yes, we welcome families and singles.

Are pets allowed at the resort?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Baan Tropicana.

Ban Tai Beach

Just a moments walk from Baan Tropicana is Ban Tai beach, a 2-km-long strip of pristine white sand located between Bang Por and Maenam beaches on the Northern coast. With it's majestic sunsets and views to Koh Phangan and Ang Thong National Marine Park it's hard to match. It is often mistakenly called Bang Por from which is only separated by a tiny rocky cape. Facing north, this beach is a haven of tranquility.

Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is Thailand's 5th largest island that's located just 12 km north of Koh Samui and is still barely developed. Ferries from Samui are at hand to get there, leaving frequently throughout the day. It features many idyllic, long white-sand beaches a mountainous terraine and is home to the world-famous Full Moon Party,

Koh Tao

Koh Tao just 1 hour north of Samui by speedboat is one of the best scuba diving and snorkeling destinations in southern Thailand. The perfect white-sand beaches which ring the island are surrounded by crystal-clear waters. So far from civilization and while still being easily reached, it is the idyllic tropical island paradise.

Seasons in Samui

Dry Season

Dry Season (December to February): Dry season is also high season in Koh Samui, when rains stay away, and the temperatures are slightly lower (think 28 degrees instead of 35 degrees Celsius). This also translates to calmer waters, perfect for swimming and kayaking. Expect fully-booked hotels and lots of people on the beaches.

Hot Season

Hot Season (March to August): means 30-plus-degree heat all the time and high humidity, with longs hours of sunshine and very little cloud cover. Though it rains in Koh Samui starting in May, it's usually in the form of short showers. This is the best time for snorkeling, kayaking and diving and your best chance to spot whale sharks.

Rainy Season

Rainy Season (September to November): The off-peak season in Koh Samui coincides with the monsoon season, when strong tropical storms hit the island regularly. September is still relatively dry, but during October and November, it can rain for several days in a row, though there are usually many breaks in between, when the sun still comes out.
